Review: New Fantasyland - Enchanted Forest
- Be Our Guest: I think it’s very beautiful, I think it will transport guest. Disney did a very good job. My favorite room is the Rose Gallery, I think its because its the most innovative/creative one. I had both lunch and dinner at BoG; Dinner was one of the most disappointing and possibly the worst meal Ive had at WDW. Everything was either very salty, or had no taste. It just failed on so many levels; the gray stuff tastes like nothing. Lunch is a lot better, nothing was extraordinary but it was okay and not super expensive. I tried the Croque Monsieur and that isn’t a Croque; not to sound pretentious but I’ve had them in France and this is no where close to what its supposed to be. I recommend just go to lunch and see how beautiful the restaurant is, don’t be too disappointed if you can’t get a restaurant.
- Enchanted Tales: This is the best thing in the expansion I think, the effects are excellent. Really has a wow factor, I think most guest will enjoy this. I will do this again if the line isn’t too long or if I’m with first time guests.
- Gaston’s Tavern/Bonjour Village Gifts/Belle’s Village: I think the village is cute, it is very small! Gaston’s tavern is very small! Bonjour Gifts is very small! haha The brew is yummy, I craved it so I got it twice. The rest of the offerings are good, nothing spectacular. I HATE the fountain and the fact that Gaston has such a big statue. It’s so stupid, and the fountain in the movie is very iconic. I don’t understand the need. I think inside the Tavern the animal heads could have been bigger, they look a bit cheap and mundane.
- Under the Sea~Journey of the Little Mermaid: The castle is beautiful, the queue is very well done. I wasn’t able to do the regular one but from what I saw it looked great. I rode this before at DCA so I can’t say that I was blown away, but I did enjoy to see Ariel’s fixed hair and the animation changed. I have my issues with this ride and they are mostly with Ariel and how bad she looks. I think most guest and especially the little girls will enjoy this when it’s not a two hour wait lol
Overall, its a step in the right direction for immersive experiences. I think once the Mine Train is complete it will be perfect. My biggest issue is how small everything is, just a little more and I think it’d be a good size. It’s a bit underwhelming but its not disappointing. It’s definitely something to check out but I won’t be telling my friends to race over.
I might review more of the new additions at WDW but this was longer than I expected so I’ll do it later. Any thoughts, do you agree or disagree?
